2011 is gonna be different.

I can just tell. Theres no saying if this differnt will be good or bad.. but alas.. different.
Speaking if 2011 I think it's time I made a list of my new year's resolutions:
1. Go to Sadie's with this guy.. (stupid I know, but hey, I can dream.)
2. Rock finals.
3. Get a dog.  (I really want one.. hehe)
4. Learn gutair.
5. Make this the year (I don't know what it means either.. but alot of people say it!)

So I just got home from the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. I ate at the Bluestem.
It's owned by my uncle's cousin. My meal consisted of 5 courses:
1. Poached pear salad with bleu cheese and pomegranate seeds.
2. Crab pasta
3. Cod, mussle, shrimp, and potatoes with an amazing tomato sauce
4. Short rib/beef tenderloin, horseradish potatoes, and carrots.
but the best part of the meal was dessert. We started off with blue cheese and cranberies. Now, I know what your think ing, but actually it was really good! The best one of them all was this banana mousse and passion fruit soda. It was so tart that one sip of it and my mouth hurt. A good hurt though. After was the chocolate portion of the meal. A chocolate log, Devil's food cake and this icecream that tasted like alcohol. To finish of dinnder they brought out a tower with pastries on it. It has almond chocolate, buttersotch cookies and a lime gelitin. The best one was the lime one. It was even more tart then the passion fruit soda! All in all it was a fantastic night. What's on the agenda for tomorrow? Thats right. Basketball.

Why, you ask? Well, I will tell you.

On December 29th I, Athena Palmer, am attending my first KU basketball ever. 

For those of you that know me I'm sure you understand my excitement. I even got a new sweatshirt for the occasion(: Oh! Tomorrow I am going to go to a fancy-shmany restaurant! It's called the Blue Stem. Now, I know what your thinking. Who would want to pay 40 dollars for a cup of soup? But there's just something about going to really chic overpriced restaurants..

What's up?
Ya know for a bratty 6 (soon to be 7) year old... your pretty cool.
And considering your age you are quite smart.
Your always asking questions and wanting to learn more. Which is a good trait to have if you ask me. I can't wait for you to get older. For me to be able to take you places and teach you cool things, I think will be pretty neat. But until then, i'm in high school and don't spend nearly enough time with you. So I apoloigze. But I do want you to know that I love you very much and can't wait to watch you grow up.

I wanna be a princess

You know those explore test we have to take as freshies? Well today we were filling out our information and part of it was putting down what we want to do after high school.
There is just one problem..
I. Don't. Know.
Sure when I was 3 I wanted to be a princess.
And when I wa 8 I wanted to be a dancer.
When I was 12 I wanted to be an actress.
But now i'm 14 and i have no idea what to be. 
I could do anything in the world (within reason) and I can't think of one thing!
So I have one question for you. What do YOU want to be?

Hey Mom and Pop.
Well for starters, I guess I should say thanks. For conceving me that is.
Without you I would not be here today and I wouldn't have meet you.
I love you boh so much, and as far as parents go, I got pretty luckey.
Dad-- I love how your always making everyone laugh. (Well mom, me, and Alex that is.)
I enjoy the fact that you are so smart. And with that thanks for helping me with homework all the time and teaching me new things everyday. I've learned quite alot from you. And thanks for all the great advice.
Mom-- Thanks for putting up with my teenager self these past few months. I love how your such a great person and everone thinks your the nicest teacher. And thanks for helping me with whatever problems I have. And being there for me.
